Every year month of January, the ninth day of the month is the commemoration of the Black Nazarene. The famous statue of Jesus Christ which has a black façade due to the various calamities it had overcome. Accordingly, the original color of this holy statue was white, however because of the atrocious events that it encountered such like earthquakes, fire and bombing the holy statue’s color turned into black. Fortunately, despite those phenomenons this incredible holy statue was never been physically damage though its original white color turned to black.
It has been said that this Black Nazarene is believed to be miraculous and it can cure different type of illnesses and grant devotee’s prayers.
