How did you celebrate Christmas?

Well, just like last year we had a great Christmas celebration with my family. I love the foods we prepared, friends who came in and of course the music and drinks we had. That was awesome, though we have been drunk but it feels worthy anyways. Sometimes it makes me think that, despite all the circumstances we had been still things are going better.

When I think of the other family and other people who were straying in the streets begging for alms it make my heart aches, if only I am that rich I could give them more than 20 pesos or 50 that I can only afford yet it makes me realized that I am still fortunate compared to them because though we are poor at least we still are better than them. I feel so blessed and thankful for having a great family, friends, love-ones, and of course work who keeps me going to this world we called planet earth. I hope that those people I latter mentioned still have a Merry Christmas with their family, friends and love ones too.

After all, Christmas really doesn’t matter about foods and what you prepared but with how you genuinely celebrate it not only with your family but with people around you. Traditionally, we think of Christmas as the time to forgive and forget but why not make the ordinary days just like Christmas? Indeed, it is easy to say but hard to do. But if you want this to happen to have a better life and to have a peaceful world start it with yourself and everything would be a better place.

Funny video of MELASON

At first I am not a big fan of PBB or Pinoy Big Brother because I thought there is no excitement about to happen inside. I don’t like them all actually, but everything changed when I tend to watch the teleserye nang totoong buhay once. I found it really funny especially the MELSAON love team. Now, I am one of their big fans it maybe sounds funny but it’s true. These two are really the reason why I am now following PBB every night before I go to sleep. Aside from the two, I am also a big fan of Rica, Cathy, Carol, Tibo, Johan and Paul Jake. I’m sorry to the other side of the house; I really don’t like you guys hehehehe…

Anyways, the video below is one of my favorites in MELASON moments.

How to get rid of mumps?

Yes I had been experiencing that horrible disease of mumps yet I am over with it. The experience was really terrible for four days of suffering the pain; I could not imagine that it’s over now. In those four days of suffering, I could not brush my teeth well, I could not eat solid foods and I could not even dare to do gargle because it causes a very terrible pain. I could not understand the feeling; it’s like soothing from within my neck. In that past days I really wanted to cry but I couldn’t. I want to look for fight just to relieve the pain, but I guess if I would do it, it would cause more trouble. So what I did when it feels painful was to just sit down calm myself, close my eyes until the pain will eventually back to normal. And the shi*** thing was, it takes minutes before the pain fades away my goodness!!!

I researched about the disease and I found out that there is no specific treatment for it. I lose hope, because I was really determined to know the cure since I couldn’t bear the pain anymore. My mama put some traditional remedy on it which they called “anyel”. It is a blue powdered stuff mix with native vinegar. Sounds eeww??? Yes it is. But despite the odor I bear it with me because I want to get well as soon as possible. Eventually with the help of anyel I feel better and better and finally feeling okay. But when I browsed the internet again I found out some herbal remedies of mumps that could help relieve the pain and could even take the virus, since mumps is a contagious viral disease. If you want to know more the remedy of the mumps you better click the link here.

My amazing MBS3 Experience

That was last Saturday and last Sunday (October 24 and 25) when I joined the 3rd Mindanao Bloggers Summit (MBS3) held in Pearlmont Inn Cagayan de Oro City. Since it was my first time to join the MBS event I was really fortunate to have the opportunity meeting various bloggers from the different parts of the Philippines. Indeed I am a blogger myself and even one of the members of the organization the “cdobloggers” and very much proud of it despite the fact that I am not that active compared to the other cdobloggers (LOL). But I am very much proud that despite the fact that I am not really that active I contributed some effort for that big event. Yes, I am one of the volunteers of the said event and it is my honor as well as my pleasure to help assist our visitors in order for the event to be well organized. And yes we successfully made it!

Meeting all of our speakers (prominent people) and seeing them personally which I only seen them on TV mostly in the news is like a dreams come true. Though I am not really that avid fan of them but you know they are one of the most important people of the country. Imagine having pictures and even had the opportunity to shake hands with Leslie Basset (Chief Deputy of Mission), Atty. Adel Tamano, Hon. CDO Mayor Tinnex Jaraula and more. I was really grateful that I joined the event, because I learned a lot from the different speakers as well as through the different bloggers; like you know exchanging ideas and techniques on how to make your blog more presentable and of course how to get money from it (LOL).

While during the second day of the event that was last Sunday, is another exciting and interesting day of the bloggers. There are actually two options of activities to choose on the event, whether you would choose the water rafting adventure or the city tour. I chose the city tour and that really amazed me. Why? Because I am living and even born in CDO but I do not really know the city’s historical background (shame on me LOL!). Yes, our tourist guide introduces us to the city’s significant places and remarks particularly the San Agustin Church and the Water Tank (nearby the San Agustin church) which was established since the 1940s. After we toured the city, we head to the Opol Aviary where we’ve seen different species of amazing birds. And I even had the chance to touched one of the birds, which was really cute! But the most incredible thing I did in the aviary is when I got the chanced to touch their albino snake (eeewww feels nasty) yet that was the best thing I did that day.

After in Opol we then went to one of the most holy places in the city “The Divine Mercy”. Though we always planned to visit the place but we always failed, failed to set the exact date and time. I was really happy I chose the city tour since I had the chance to really see the gigantic statue of the Divine Mercy. It was really too hot when we went there but it’s all worthy because what we’ve seen is self fulfilling enough to ease the thirst and the hotness we feel. Divine Mercy was the last of the list of our itineraries that day, and we finally went back to the city center of Cagayan de Oro for our lunch. It was really an amazing experience I had and hopefully by next year, I can join again the MBS4 which would be held in Zamboanga City (sounds exciting )

The Cagayan de Oro Bloggers (CDO Bloggers) group is set to play host to the Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3, which will be held on October 24, 2009. With the theme, “Mindanao: Bag-Uhon Ang Panan-aw,” the MBS 3 aims to uphold the beauty and strength of the island and to expunge the negative notions the world has about it.

(Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao, Philippines – October 21, 2009) – It’s all systems go for the Cagayan de Oro Bloggers (CDO Bloggers) as they play host to the much-awaited Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3, an annual gathering of Mindanao-based bloggers, IT industry experts, community leaders and new media advocates, on October 24, 2009 at Pearlmont Inn, Limketkai Drive, Cagayan de Oro City. “Of course, we also want all of the participants to have a good time and experience the sights and sounds of Cagayan de Oro,” Montes added.

Montes said that apart from Mindanaoan bloggers, the summit will also see the participation of some bloggers from Luzon and Visayas.

Expected to grace the summit is United States Embassy’s new Deputy Chief of Mission Leslie Bassett, Atty. Adel Tamano, Agusan Lone District Rep. Rodolfo “Ompong” Plaza and Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Tinnex Jaraula.

Considered unprecedented in the Philippine blogosphere, a top ranking United States Embassy dignitary is set to deliver the keynote address. Bassett’s trip to CDO will be her first trip to Mindanao since assuming office in June. She previously served as DCM in Mexico.

“We are deeply honored. We’re certain that the summit participants will be delighted to meet her and we can’t wait for her to see our beautiful city,” Montes said.

Terrible typhoon Ondoy

I never updated my blog for days, yet I am thinking what to post here. Until my eyes captured this video taken during the typhoon Ondoy that hit the country (Philippines). Yes I've seen the news about it and I've heard how awful it was that gets hundreds of people to death. The typhoon was really terrible that it left traumas to most of the victims, especially to kids and older people. After seeing this video, my heart bleeds but hope is always in my mind. We are thankful because we have not been affected to the typhoon, but we are praying and hoping that flood victims can soon recuperate from what they had been experienced. Take a look at this video.

Perilous Kawasaki Disease

I have an 8 month old nephew and yet I feel worried of what I’ve heard about this eccentric disease called “Kawasaki” disease. I have not heard about this kind of disease until I’ve heard about it from my brother. He shared to us that his boss’s son have been infected by the disease and they spent of about Php 500, 000 for their son’s treatment. What I worried much (we worried) because mostly the disease occurred in male babies/male kids.

Kawasaki disease as what I’ve known is one of the most dangerous diseases for male kids. Imagine one of the symptoms it show is the constant fever which takes up to two weeks and could not be responsive to any kind of medicines or normal doses such like ibuprofen and paracetamol. But aside from this, there are still various symptoms of the Kawasaki disease which is no good for the male kid’s condition. However, the most dangerous fact about the disease is when it turns to cardiac complications that could turn to heart attack. It might be too impossible to happen for young male kids, but it could be possible with this kind of disease.

The causes of the disease have been said due to the genetic interaction and at the same time due to the environmental factors that includes infection. However, the precise cause is yet unknown. Until now, the studies about the disease are still going on though there are new discoveries however; still it is not yet clear.

This is really a very shocking and controversial kind of disease. For parents who have male kids with you extra careful for your children are necessary.

What's in September 09, 2009 (09/09/09)

Do you know what date today is? Of course you know its September 9, 2009 or (09/09/09). Today, most of the people coming from the different corners of the world are well prepared of this calendrical anomaly. Special events such like weddings, launching of business to movie studio execs have been celebrating it today. Accordingly, the rarity of the date is not only good in business and special occasions but it also symbolizes the last set of repeating, the last single-digits dates that can be seen again for almost the next century.

Though it has been said that there is nothing special about the date however, some were concerned of its historical meaning. In the other parts of the world relating to the cultures some believed that the number nine gives good luck to them, while for others culture it gives bad warning. The number nine is also known of holding special rank since it associates compassion, success and forgiveness on the positive side while on the negative side it associates self righteousness and arrogance.

For me all numbers has significant meanings and value in every individual’s life. Be it their natal day, anniversary, or wedding anniversary—dates is special because it symbolizes a new beginning and new life. For you, what is your point of view about numbers or dates?

Learning how to drive a bike

It was great! I am learning to drive a motorbike and now I knew how to drive it. It really had a lot of fun! My sister taught me last night, she managed to direct me while she was at my back riding with me as well. Yes it was hard; learning the bike at first especially if someone is riding behind you is hard. You need to keep your balance working. Perhaps, for the first timers like me driving a bike is never easy. There are things that you should keep in your mind. But if you have the determination and you are too optimistic to learn you can do it. I always remembered what my sister was telling me “you need to have a presence of mind” and since I followed whatever she said I learned to drive the bike so fast, without even falling.

Unfortunately, according to my sister I need to have constant practice to master it. Because there are still some techniques that I should have to practice before she would let me drive in the busy roads. She also said “you have to be alert in your surrounding” because driving a bike without proper presence of mind is risky. Now that I learned I would make sure that the next time she would let me drive I could already manage to practice the techniques that she was telling me. It’s really fun and exciting.

Impressive beaches from all over the world

I had been dreaming of spending my vacation in one of the beautiful islands of the world. Daydreaming of those pristine beaches that would tickle my toes and walking on those white glimmering powder like sands. Not until I’d been to one of the Philippines famous tourist’s destinations, Camiguin Island. The Island is famous for its various stunning spots, like the Sunken Cemetery, Threes Marias, the Cold Spring, the Hot Spring, the Katibawasan Falls, the White Island and more.

I love all what I saw, it’s all impressive and really stunning. Yet the White Island is one of my favorite spots, why? Because I love the super clear water and the super white powder like sand that it has. Since I kept on drenching myself to the beach what I got was sunburn. Despite of it still I really enjoy my experienced, together with my workmates.

Now, one of my friends in stumbleupon.com shared to me pictures of the amazing pictures of beaches from the different parts of the world. It was really awesome!!! How I wish someday I could visit one of these beaches. The beaches are really amazing that I could not imagine there are beaches like this which still exist. Here are the pictures my friend shared to me. Totally amazing!!! Enjoy!!!

Causes of Polar Bear’s shrinking

Did you know that one of the most endangered species on earth which is the polar beer was recently found out shrinking? Study shows that the cause of the sudden shrinking of the polar bear is due to the man’s abused activities on our mother earth. Scientists try to compare the bear skulls during the early 20th century from those skulls in the half century. And they found out that there are big differences between the polar bear’s sizes and shape in this present time. And according to them, the pollution and the decreasing of the sea ice could contribute the causes of the shrinking of the body and shape of the polar bears.

Another factor that could cause the shrinking of the polar bears sizes is due to physical stress from the polar bear’s polluted bodies as well as due to the increased effort they exert when looking for their food.

As we noticed it is not only the polar bears that had been affected by the human activities but there are still many animal species. If we continue these damaging activities it would not only kill millions of animal species but as well as human beings, which is in fact already starting since the previous years. Let’s renew the world and make it a better place to live.

Ventriloquism; amazing talent

Okay this is going to be funny. I would not found this video and share this to you guys if it isn’t shared to me by my special someone as well. Since it is really funny, I was really laughing while listening and watching the video. But what makes me amazed and impressed about this video, because of the ventriloquist itself. Yes indeed, the ventriloquist. He is the one who manipulates the voice of the puppets as well as the puppet’s actions. Now isn’t amazing? Wow you know I had an experienced being a ventriloquist before way back in college. That was when our instructor let us performed a puppet show in our classroom. And hey, it’s not really easy huh! That was really tough! It’s hard to manipulate your voice, the puppet and how you will control your hands. I’m just glad after our show at least our instructor was impressed because we are really doing our best just to pass the project. I might say a ventriloquist has really an amazing talent, try to see it yourself by watching this video performed by one of the famous ventriloquists Jeff Dunham.

Rest in Peace Former President Corazon Aquino

The former President Corazon Cojuangco Aquino died Saturday morning 3:18 a.m. August 1, 2009 at the age of 76 after fighting against her colon cancer disease.

Corazon Aquino had been appointed as the first female President not only in the Philippines but all over the Asian countries during the snap presidential elections against the Marcos administration in 1986.

In her time Corazon Aquino was appointed as the Woman of the year of the Time Magazine in 1986. Aside from that, she also received the Nobel Peace Prize award in the same year. It was the former president Corazon Aquino who amended the Philippine constitution into democracy. In her sixth-year of service, the former president was also been bombarded with various political issues from her opponents. Yet he continued her service as the mother of the country of which she received both the compliments and indignity.

Now that she was in the other part of the world, may the former President Corazon Aquino’s soul rest in peace.

How did you manage your emotion when you get upset?

How do you handle your emotions if you are upset? How do you manage to escape from it? Will you hide? Outburst a tear to your friend or isolating yourself to your room? We have different ways of escaping our emotions when we are upset and the latter are just some of the many ways. But how about managing your emotions through eating, can you still handle it when you eventually realized that you are already overweight? This is what was happened to the 15 year old girl in the UK.

At the early age of 15 Georgia David was recognized as the fattest teen in the UK. Weighing of about 210kg Georgia was sent to the American Weight Loss camp last year and successfully lost 89kg. Georgia started her eating habit when his dad died when she was only 5 years old. Later on when she gets upset she found eating as her outlet. Until she reached high school where her classmates bullied her due to its weight that leads her to feel upset and eat.

After she enrolled to the said summer camp academy, Georgia is relieved when she found out she already weighed 121kg. However, Georgia still needs more time to reach what she was dreaming, yet never give up to continue what she has already been doing.

The easiest way to avoid the Swine Flu disease

I am not a mother nor been married, but we have kids living with us; my niece who is eight years old and my nephew who is 4 months old. When we talk about kids and relate it to the rapid spread of the swine flu disease, of course they are more vulnerable to it and it really worried us much. There would be a high possibility that they would easily get the virus from the infected person (hopefully it’s not going to happen). Though the virus never reaches our city yet, still we worried much because it is already landed our country. In fact it has been reported that there are already 147 cases of swine flu here in the Philippines since the first case was discovered.

Though the swine flu virus was still circulating within the area of Manila, we could never deny the fact that we have been anxious about it considering the fact that some of our family and love-ones are there working. What if they would go home for days from now? What if they were already one of those swine flu carriers and we didn’t know? Everything would be possible if this virus could never be thwarted. As we noticed, older people who had been the victim of the virus have suffered from it, how much more the kids?

I have read some articles on how to prevent the virus. And it’s just really easy. Just keep on frequent hand-washing. Using hand sanitizer or alcohol has a big role in stopping the spread of the virus as well. But never let your kids take some Tamiflu if they don’t have shows any sign of the swine flu disease. Swine Flu as they said is a traitor type of disease, though it can be curable however it easily spread and could kill if not been treated as soon as possible. Therefore, consistent hand-washing is best advice.

KC Concepcion and Hayden Kho Scandal???

I was appalled of what I've read lately when I was still at work. One of my workmates sent us a link or url containing the scandalous title of KC Concepcion and Hayden Kho’s scandal. Could this be true? I doubt so. Well, according to the article I’ve read Hayden Kho captured some naked photos of KC after her body scrub at Vicky Belo’s medical clinic using his cell phone. If these rumors are true, I don’t know what would be the reaction of the megastar Sharon Cuneta after hearing it. Do you think it could be possible? Hmmm…

The best about shopping online

Today, because of the hectic time that most of the office workers have been doing every day of their life most of them do not have sufficient time to go for shopping. If you were one of those workers who do not have enough time for yourself, shopping online is the best place that you could count on. For those who were looking for a new bed linens and bedding, there is no need for you to go for a certain shopping center. With the use of the internet, it would be easy for you to find the best bed linens.

On the other hand, it would be great if you put desk lamps in your table’s office. Especially if you were going to have an over time task, this is not only used as a decoration in your table but it is also a great tool that you can use.

And for your home accessories, still shopping online is the place to locate. The best about shopping online since it does not waste your time and you have enough time to choose the best accessories for you. All you need to have is a computer with the internet connectivity.

Irene Kho outburst her emotions towards Hayden Kho’s Sex Scandal Video

After the controversial issue about Hayden Kho and Katrina Halili’s sex video scandal, at last the mother of Hayden Kho who is Irene Kho already emerged and faced the media and outburst what she had been feeling towards the issue. Watching over her interview in one of the prestigious Media Industries ABS-CBN, I sympathized to her. Perhaps I am not yet a mother, but as a human being who can also feel hurt, pain, happiness and more I know what she feel. Maybe some of the people after watching her interview might laugh at her, and even said that Hayden has really inherited to her of being like a paranoid. In fact, I’ve even said that I admit but after watching again her interview in youtube I realized that being a mother is not easy and they will do everything just to make their children safe from whatever consequence they might been with. The video below is the interview of Hayden Kho’s mother Mrs. Irene Kho. What can you say about it? You are free to comment.

Some exercise tips to take note during your busy time

With the nature of my work, I think I couldn’t say that I have the best work compared to the others, why? Because I am very much exposed to radiation. As a web content writer or ghost writer, working eight hours a day facing only the monitor, doing the searching, surfing and all that’s stuffs in the internet is not easy. In fact, it is riskier compared to those working in the construction site. If you have the same nature of mine and you want to lessen the risk for the sake of your health, try to follow the tips below I also read these tips from my friend in stumbleupon who have shared this to me. I hope it would work to you too.

• Manage your time—it has been said that taking an exercise for about 30 minutes five times a week is advisable. It could have resulted good benefits for your health. The best time to do an exercise is during the early morning.

• Take a diet—some of us are thinking that dieting could be more effective if you eat less from your usual meal, which is a no-no. In fact, there are some studies show that if you eat your breakfast late, the more increase of fat level you will gain. So eating your meals in a proper time is necessary.

• Take note of your lifestyle—they are saying that if you have a professional way of living you will gain great nutrition, great fitness and perfect wellness with a simple and exciting life.

• Take a relaxation—relaxation doesn’t mean physically but most importantly mentally. Most of us are experiencing pressure from our work. Due to that, the best thing that we should do is to take a relaxation; this is for us to uphold mental balance. Some relaxation exercises are yoga, but the most recommended mental exercise is getting together with your friends or love ones. This could help you ease your tensions from your work.

The Sun just rising in Camiguin Island

Browsing on the various pictures we took in Camiguin Island, I came across on the sun rise taken by my workmate Venus. I was really impressed on how she took it. It’s just incredible. She said she took it early in the morning when the sun starting to show its glimmer. Try to look at these pictures she just took, what can you say about it?

Awesome experience at Camiguin Island

It was last week where we spent our summer vacation for three days at one of the most famous islands in the Philippines, Camiguin Island. Together with my workmates we also went there for our second year anniversary at work. It was my first time to set foot on that island though it only took an hour for me to sail there. Maybe because I don’t have enough money to go there alone, or I don’t have some companies to be with or it could be both. Indeed both, anyways my experience at Camiguin was one of the most memorable experiences ever in my life. I really had a great time with my workmates. The incredible panoramic scenery of the island are awesome, and the beaches are glimmering when being hit by the rays of the sun. Its crystal clear water is tempting, enough to allure various tourists all over the world to drench and enjoy the beach.

We have been toured the island for only a day, it is not exactly a big island though there are already myriad numbers of residence residing there. You can even tour the scenic spots of the island in just a day if you would want to, but you would never regret what you would see. AWESOOMMEE!!! At the first day, we went to Ardent (The Hot Spring). We spent there for about 4 hours and we really enjoyed the spring much. It’s like you were soaking yourself in the hot water, which really feels good and relaxing.

The next day, we went to the White Island, the most famous sceneries in Camiguin Island. And ohh myy!!! If you could only see the powder like sand, the crystal clear water of the beach, you could probably say that you were somehow been in the part of Boracay Island (Famous Island in the Philippines). We spent there for about 3 hours if I remember? And goodness it was really awesome!!! I got sunburn there swear!! But it was worthy. The next itinerary we’ve been through was in Sunken Cemetery, where we’ve seen the huge landmark of the cross standing straight in the sea. We never go down to see the sunken cemetery itself because we already running out of time. The next destination we went through was at the Sto. Niño Cold Spring, wew and it was really cold! But the place as well is incredible! I also enjoyed it there much.

After spending hours at Sto Niño Cold Spring, we head to the island’s Old Church. The historical church reminds us the life of the people spending their time attending mass at the church. Unfortunately, the old church was already ruined and only its old walls remained. The back of the old church on the other hand stands the huge 350 years old tree which has the background of the captivating sea, and all I can say again was awesome! The last destination we’ve been through was the Katibawasan Falls. I maybe sound funny but I never seen such a wonderful falls in my entire life not until I’ve seen the incredible long thread of Katibawasan Falls. It was really breathtaking that you can’t resist yourself not to swim and feel this incredible nature. But believe me, when I first feel the water, I could probably say that it is much colder than in the Sto. Niño Cold Spring. Well, maybe because the wind that came from the falls makes the water cold as well. As of now, spending my summer vacation and spending our second year anniversary with my workmates was one of the most memorable experiences I really had in Camiguin Island.
