After four days of the spontaneous rain that devastated our city, at last the rain stopped. Though there is a bit sun flickering above, still the cold breeze of the wind never stops us to worry of thinking maybe the bad weather isn’t over yet. After those horrifying flood, heavy rains and strong angry wind numerous properties are damaged. A lot of families are housed in the different evacuation center, families who were victims of the said calamity. Finally, the battle against this natural disaster is over. But is it really over? Perhaps it is for this day however, it wouldn’t be over unless we stop abusing our mother earth. The abusive cutting of trees in the hinterland of our city is one of the many factors why we had experienced this kind of phenomenon, various subdivisions established in the mountainside is the second. There are in fact a lot. Previously, the city is rich with green lushes. But as the years continue to grow old, the city never look any good anymore, it even look more worst every single of the day. Despite the innovative technology introduced and already widely used in the city, the battle would never end against this disaster if we will continue ignoring the significance of our environment.

Rain rain go away!
Since last night, the rain never stops yet and I couldn't stop thinking of my workmate since they have been one of those victims of the flood just last week. Our neighboring sitio was once again been devastated with the atrocious flood and I'm pity of them. Though I can say we are fortunate compared to them but we are still affected with the phenomenon. As a neighboring sitio we can't just stare on these people and do nothing, but it is as well our responsibility to lend a hand to them. I just hope that the flood occurred will never be the same last week, which left various damages of houses.

In Connection with the Epiphany Commemoration
I just went to church today and felt relieved after the mass. But what I have been getting out from the homily is the commemoration of the Epiphany or the Three Kings which was in connection with the tragic tragedy happening in our city at this moment. Yes indeed, our neighboring sitio is unfortunate of having been devastated with the great flood because of the simultaneous rains here in the past days. Perhaps you were wondering what would be the connection of the Epiphany homily in this tragic phenomenon. The homily was trying to pinpoint that Epiphany is not just about celebrating the giving gift of the three kings towards Jesus but it also enlighten our minds that in this recent moment you, me and everyone of us are considered as the three kings who were accountable in sharing gifts to this unfortunate flood victim people. There are countless people nowadays that need our help. In fact, if we are keen enough to see our surroundings you will be amazed and realized at the end that we are blessed of having been abounding with various graces God has given us. And because of this, it would be our time to share these blessings to others just like what the three kings have done during the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. So, even just at this moment, be one of those three kings who were sincere enough to lend a hand to others who needs your help.
